Service Projects and Causes
Service opportunities include serving dinner at the local homeless shelter and sponsoring a family for Christmas. Previous funds raised have been donated to Haven House (Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region) and PolioPlus.
Haven House is a local organization that provides shelter, education, and outreach services to women and children to help move past abuse and violence.
PolioPlus is a public health initiative launched by Rotary International, that for three decades has delivered polio vaccines to children around the world. Since 1985, Rotary has helped immunize over 2.5 billion children in 122 countries. With the aid of PolioPlus, this debilitating disease is nearing eradication, and the fight to end polio is in its final push that will ensure no one will suffer from this terrible disease ever again.
